Full Job Description

  • Agree and develop the client's brief in conjunction with any other consultants appointed.

  • Gather an understanding of client specific project processes and protocols and put these in motion in tandem with standard project management practices.

  • Co-ordinate, manage and communicate with the client, project stakeholders and other consultants appointed to meet requirements of the project, preparation of programmes and undertaking programme management.

  • Co-ordinate the design process by bringing together a large multi-disciplinary team including both internal and external consultants and ensuring team outputs align with both the client brief and statutory agency requirements.

  • Manage the control of the project both pre- and post-contract including financial expenditure throughout all RIBA stages.

  • Run the change management process.

  • Feed into the development of the procurement strategy and procurement activities

  • Communicate and chair meetings with the client, their stakeholders, and contractors as necessary.

  • Prepare and issue reports, including but not limited to preparation of Project Execution Plans (PEP), Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, Progress Reports etc.

  • Administer NEC contracts, including the management of early warnings and compensation events

    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our London office and the multi-disciplinary team, leading work on a Government major flagship heritage scheme. The role is client focused and process driven, covering all RIBA stages. Embedding protocols and driving all aspects of design management are central to the work, coupled with NEC contract administration. You would be providing direct client interaction as the first point of contact. To work and lead a team of professionals effectively, the role would require an average attendance in the office or on site of 3 days per week., Our ideal Project Manager must have:
  • At least 3 years of residency in the UK and confidence in ability to obtain security clearance (Security clearance is needed in order to work on this project)

  • NEC knowledge/experience/understanding is key

  • 3+ years industry experience, having worked in a similar role in project management.

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • HNC, HND, a project management, architectural, engineering / construction related degree or related transferable experience

  • Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of standard construction project management processes and documentation through all RIBA stages

  • A knowledge and understanding of building technology and construction principles

  • It would be nice for you to have:
  • Previous experience in consultancy is desirable but not mandatory
