Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate on the delivery of international display and partnership projects as part of the British Museum's international strategy.
Key areas of responsibility:
1. To develop teams for individual projects and to coordinate appropriate input of relevant stakeholders, within and outside the Museum.
2. To develop project specific budgets, schedules, and objectives, and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, with risks appropriately managed.
3. To manage project administration, including financial records, progress reports and reviews of completed work, and preparing all necessary paperwork for project board
4. To ensure mechanisms and processes are in place to maximise the quality of content and effective delivery of projects within the Museum's international programme, working with colleagues across the Museum and externally.
5. To report on the Museum's international projects both internally and externally to international partners.

  • Experience of managing public facing projects, involving multi-disciplined teams.

  • Experience of project processes.

  • Experience of delivering exhibition or display project.

  • Good facilitator and organiser.

  • An ability to coordinate a process.

  • Excellent team player.

  • A sense of tact and diplomacy and the ability to adopt a culturally sensitive approach.
