Full Job Description

This is a critical role within the Carl Zeiss Vision UK ("CZV UK") team, which requires a driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic Project Manager or Change professional to help develop, drive and deliver the strategy for the UK&I business to achieve its considerable growth ambition as part of #Agenda25 and beyond. The role provides a great opportunity to shape the future of the local Change agenda within Carl Zeiss Vision UK and provides a great opportunity for someone passionate to make an impact in the company and the Change function. Key Objectives:

  • Support the business in the delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects, initiatives and business changes.
  • Define the project scope with defined deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans to guide project teams and senior management, revising based on changing needs and requirements
  • Identify and assign project tasks based on skill sets and available resource and strengths of the project team/stakeholders
  • Monitor project and change performance to ensure timely delivery
  • Compile and present project status updates to relevant steering committees, senior management and other stakeholders
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plans
  • Own the project RAID management processes including the taking of decisions and actions
  • Help to facilitate broader enterprise business Risk Management processes
  • Coordinate project meetings, communicate project status updates, and manage project documentation.
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
  • Communicating with stakeholders, team members and management to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project management processes and best practices with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure project team members are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and risks, and proactively develop solutions to mitigate them.

    Proven academics: Degree qualified or equivalent.
  • Demonstratable experience in delivering projects along with experience of project planning, estimation, requirements gathering and creation of Project Initiation Documents (PID's)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Wrike, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent problem analysis, system design, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Professional certification such as PRINCE2
