Full Job Description

The Role: Liverpool City Council has high aspirations for the city's economic growth and regeneration over the next 10+ years, bringing forward place-based commercial and residential development in the city centre and neighbourhood areas. We are recruiting up to 4 project managers to manage physical urban regeneration projects that will have a significant impact on the social, economic and environmental well-being of the city. As a Project Manager you will work as part of project teams with regeneration professionals, specialising in the design, development and delivery of prioritised urban development regeneration projects across public realm. The Project Manager will manage several projects from inception through to closure, delivering outputs and outcomes within agreed time, quality and cost parameters. They will lead project teams and develop relationships with stakeholders to ensure success. The role will involve shaping and defining regeneration projects to ensure strategic
outcomes and objectives are met Responsibility for maintaining robust governance and high standards of project control, including management and maintenance of project plans, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, budgets, and finance tracking You will be responsible for resource management of complex projects involving regeneration service team members, other Council team members and external third-parties Production and maintenance of timely project progress reports incorporating inputs from a variety of project teams The role involves regular engagement with other Council departments, including Property, Legal, Procurement and Finance as well as other public sector organisations The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, with excellent relationship management skills, and a clear track record of managing challenging projects with multiple or diverse stakeholders Knowledge of waterfall project methodologies is essential to the role, with an understanding of agile
methodologies being an advantage Whilst not essential, experience of delivering urban regeneration, infrastructure and housing projects would be highly advantageous
