Full Job Description

The North East & Yorkshire Region of NHS England is looking to recruit someone with a range of experience and knowledge in pharmacy and medicines management to provide project management support to the regional AMR Regional Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead and Pharmacy Integration Lead. Working as part of the Regional Chief Pharmacist's team in the Medical Directorate of the North East & Yorkshire Region, this permanent role will support the delivery of priority work in relation to the national Action Plan for AMR and Pharmacy Integration programme., The Project Manager (AMR and Pharmacy Integration) will carry out this role by:

  • Developing, managing, reviewing and updating the project management documentation including progress reporting and risk registers
  • Scoping, designing and deploying relevant business intelligence reports using a variety of tools from a variety of sources, both manual and electronic.
  • Highlighting areas where data and/or information suggest there may be an opportunity for improvement
  • Supporting or leading improvement projects in AMR or Pharmacy Integration as directed by the appropriate regional lead
  • The successful postholder will have:
  • An understanding, experience and knowledge of working in / with the pharmacy sector / services and the AMR agenda
  • Experience of project development, delivery and management
  • Excellent analytical, communication, report writing and presentation skills
  • A commitment to quality and outcome improvement and health inequality reduction
  • Knowledge or experience on the following subjects may be of advantage as these topics will feature in the Project Manager (AMR and Pharmacy Integration) objectives:
  • New antimicrobials
  • Patient safety
  • Supply chain
  • Sustainability
  • Community Pharmacy Services
  • Pharmacist Independent Prescribing, NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.     The role would be ideal for a clinical professional working in pharmacy (e.g. newly qualified pharmacists or pharmacy technician) or clinical scientists with a microbiology background, looking to move into a management role or a project manager with experience of working in or with a pharmacy service.
