Full Job Description

We are looking for an Enabling Project Manager to join our Electrification and Plant (E&P) delivery team within the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE). The Southern Renewals Enterprise is accountable for the Southern Region's renewals portfolio for 10 years (CP7 and CP8). The Southern Region has three Routes - Wessex, Sussex and Kent. It is the gateway for 700 million passenger journeys each year, and serves channel routes to Europe, major ports, Gatwick and Southampton airports, and the south coast resorts. Based at London Blackfriars, you'll be working in an integrated delivery team with our Business Partner to develop and deliver the Southern Renewals workbank for E&P. The portfolio includes upgrades to HV & LV distribution infrastructure, the rollout of Negative Short Circuiting Devices (NSCDs) to improve trackworker safety, and upgrade of HV feeder cable routes.   • Oversee the management of complex projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Identify and manage risks effectively across the project portfolio.
  • Promote a safety-first culture.
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team.

    Experience in the management of complex projects, ideally in a rail environment
  • Experience in working in Electrification and Plant
  • Experience in Portfolio Risk Management
  • Good commercial acumen and an efficiency mindset
  • Excellent collaborative working behaviours and stakeholder management skills
  • An excellent attitude to safety and experience in working with UK construction H&S legislation
  • Team management experience, Educated to degree level in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification/experience
  • APM PMQ or equivalent
  • Hold a valid PTS (though not essential)

    Salary: £55,596 - £63,767 plus £3,270 Location Allowance., Remote working opportunity! this role requires working in the office 2/3 days a week.
