Full Job Description

Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects. Projects could range from Internal Transformational, Regulatory and Compliance Changes and/or changes for our Pensions Clients., Home based, but travel to Darlington [DL1 9HB], Sheffield [S4 7TL] or London [EC2T 7NQ] will be required to spend time with the team and attend relevant meetings.

Duties / Roles & Responsibilities: [will be to:]
Perform Implementation data processes, including:

  • Succesful execution of a project against scope, delivery plan schedule and budget.

  • Work with stakeholders, to ensure robust Project Management processes and documentation are developed and maintained.

  • Record lessons learnt.

  • Take ownership of personal and professional development undertaking all relevant training courses to improve pensions and internal systems knowledge and capability.

  • Adhere to Quality Management Systems and comply with regulations and policies from Capita and relevant regulatory bodies.

  • Support a client focused culture in the team, putting the client at the heart of all activity.

  • Identify and report risks and breaches immediately to line management and/or the Business Controls Department.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and clients.

  • Be a positive role model for staff exhibiting the level of commitment, and professionalism expected.

  • Actively represent the team in department and company activites and projects, and engage the team in disussions and plans.

  • Accountable for delivery performance to ensure the project delivers successfully to the agreed success criteria / scope.

  • Accountable for the budget, manage execution to that budget - with any cost change to be managed via change control with all costs covered.

  • Establish key success criteria / measurements for the project - deliver successfully (Cost, Time and Quality)

  • Lead the delivery team, ensuring the right calibre of staff are assigned to the project with the relevant skill set profile and ownership. Driving motivation and commtiment to deliver as a team.

  • Set up and run governance for the Project, ensuring the relevant stakeholders are engaged and accountable for their aspect of the delivery.

  • Drive collaboration of all parties to deliver together as a team, ensuring the right culture and attitude is evidnece in how work is achieved.

  • Create, own and obtain approval for Business Cases, 'ballpark' and detailed estimates for project.

  • Work within set Key Performance Indicators and quality standards.

  • Deliver against individual objectives and to contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives.

  • Define and maintain the project plan

  • Manage the risks and issues impacting the delivery and put mitigation plans in place.

  • Participate in and promote good team communication and share knowledge and expertise with other team members.

  • Weekly reporting across the projects.

  • Run/Participate in Project meetings and Projects Status calls.

    Has the ability to identify and escalate key issues to the relevant stakeholder

  • The ability to collaborate with other people.

  • Has effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.

  • The ability to assess and interpret data.

  • Can identify errors and suggest options to correct them.

  • Can demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information.

  • Experience across MS Office applications.

  • Entry requirements: [For this programme are as follows:]
  • Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/1 x A Level in any subject/BTEC etc.)

  • OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role)

  • PLUS
  • 5 x GCSE's including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above ., Associated apprentice qualification and progression within the Project Management Team and across the wider Capita Pensions Business is available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
