Full Job Description

Job Title: Project Manager – Delivery

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: From £56,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reporting on plan progress, forecasting and risk and opportunities
  • Supporting plan reviews, forecasting future trends, and impacting strategic plans to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives
  • Providing comprehensive support in correcting sequences, conducting thorough critical path analysis, and identifying any potential opportunities within the plan to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project completion
  • Chair and organise key event sessions and meetings for the Dreadnought Programme
  • Leading and managing the team
  • Liaising with functional stakeholders

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Recognised Project Management qualification or equivalent by relevant experience
  • Previous experience in either Build or Test & Commissioning environment
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management experience
  • Knowledge of Planning processes
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications

Desirable:

  • Experienced in using Team Centre and SAP

The Whole Boat Integration team:

This is an exceptional opportunity to become a part of the Whole Boat Integration Team, where you will be responsible for organising and managing key events related to the Build, Test, and Commissioning phases of the Dreadnought Programme. Joining this team will allow you to collaborate with various departments across the business, providing you with extensive exposure and a comprehensive understanding of the organisation offering an exciting chance to gain valuable experience within the complexities of a major defence programme as well as career development. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
