Description: If you are a dynamic and forward-thinking project manager, with experience of managing the implementation of Digital software solutions, then this exciting opportunity may be exactly what you've been looking for to advance your skills and forward your career. The Vale of Glamorgan Council has identified 'Digital' as one of the pillars in which it will use to transform the organisation into a modern and efficient service provider, prioritising customer experience, and service accessibility.
Our Digital roadmap is ambitious, and therefore challenging and we need your help to ensure the successful implementation of a number of digital solutions, principally within our Social and Education services.
You will manage all aspects of the projects; liaising with software providers, managing the project teams that will carry out the technical and business elements of these digital solutions, etc. You will be the conduit between all stakeholders and the respective governance / project boards, providing highlight reports and escalating issues that required board-level decisions.
Previous knowledge and experience in managing digital software solutions,
Proven track record of delivering these projects on time and within budget,
Formal project management qualification(s) - Prince2 / Agile/ etc.,
Degree or 3 years experience in a related field,
Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale and between council locations as appropriate.

The service has embarked on an ambitious and challenging journey of change, with a clear roadmap to deliver efficiency and cost-effecting service delivery across the whole organisation, with a view to improving the experience of our customers who choose to transact with the Council digitally.
Pay Details: Grade 9 - £39,186 to £43,421
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Main Place of Work: Civic Office / Remote Working
Temporary Reason: Manage the delivery of specific Digital projects
