This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to play a key role in ensuring compliance with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) by supporting the Global Head of Non-Financial Reporting. This position requires engagement with internal stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and external partners such as auditors and legal advisors, to ensure Imperial Brands produces a CSRD-compliant Annual Report and Accounts by 2025. In addition, the role will collaborate with IT teams to align technology initiatives with business requirements, ensuring the successful implementation of CSRD reporting capabilities. Ensure that non-technical workstreams are effectively coordinated with technology delivery, including business process and change management. Develop realistic project plans that balance business-as-usual (BAU) activities with reporting cycle demands and technology delivery timelines, while ensuring ESG team resources are aligned for workshops, UAT, and business sign-offs. Ensure IT teams fully understand the business requirements, expected outcomes, and the process impacts of all technology deliverables. What are your tasks?

  • Serve as a liaison between the ESG Reporting Team and IT to ensure selection and integration of a CSRD-compliant reporting platform.
  • Work with the Global Business Services office and Finance Operations to align non-financial data processes with financial data reporting controls.
  • Keep the CSRD Working Group informed of progress and address any issues raised by internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor how EU countries are implementing CSRD requirements and the impact on Imperial entities in those regions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and legal advisors to ensure compliance and resolve any regulatory challenges.
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices and peer disclosures to continuously improve CSRD reporting efforts.
  • Work alongside IT Project Managers to coordinate non-technical workstreams with technology delivery, including process and change management.

  • Experience with data visualization tools and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform reports for senior management.
