An exciting opportunity is now available for a Project Manager, this role will see you become part of our growing Project Management team providing support to our Water Consultancy business and reporting into a Clean Water Technical Manager. About The Team RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. About You As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as Project Manager is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects. - You will be responsible for the delivery of multiple client projects at a time in accordance with project objectives (which you have agreed with the Client), undertaking and leading processes in line with specific Client Standards and Specifications, and ensuring projects are delivered to time, quality and cost.
- PM to a minimum of four projects at a time, plus ad-hoc PM support to wider projects covering all teams in Clean Water, including billing/invoicing support.
- Making use of financial data to monitor project delivery as well as working with colleagues to develop new methods to better manage projects and our processes.
- Key point of contact for PMs and providing PM excellence to all our teams.
- Supporting our Technical Managers across multiple teams in reviewing project performance and project delivery forecasting.
- Responsibility for project planning and governance activities in accordance with RPS systems and processes.
- Support our Technical Director in providing oversight of internal team's delivery against KPIs and internal financial targets.
- Provide training and support to colleagues to aid in the delivery of the projects. This may include the development of RPS guidance or processes, the provision of training sessions and ad-hoc support.
- Meet all responsibilities as outlined in the RPS HSE policy and management systems.
Proficient in the use of systems, tools, processes, and programmes necessary to manage projects. - Proven track record of successfully managing a project through the entire project lifecycle from inception through to handover and closure.
- Ability to identify project risks and manage those risks as required.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and respond to management, operational and financial information, and trends at a project level.
- Able to analyse large and complex datasets, including advance use of spreadsheets.
- Wider knowledge of the water sector.
- Experienced with the Microsoft 365 software suite and SharePoint.
- Experience of dedicated PM tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira)
- Good report writing and presentation skills.
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills., Degree in a Technical or Construction discipline. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
