Full Job Description

Harper Adams University are looking to recruit a Project Officer will provide support for project staff based at Harper Adams Sustaining Shropshire/DVC Office. The postholder will help support the Project Business Development Officer and Innovation Manager in the day-to-day delivery of the project. This position will have particular responsibility for ensuring HAU project records are maintained in line with UKSPF Guidelines, maintaining records of progress on engagement of beneficiaries and achievement of outputs and assist in communicating effectively with AGRI Tech Centre

The successful candidate should have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work with others where necessary as part of a team. You should also have well-developed and articulate written skills including experience in the preparation of reports and formal recording of meetings along with excellent IT skills to include all Microsoft office applications.

Some of the main duties will include;

  • Keeping track of each engaged company to ensure successful delivery of business assists and business collaboration.

  • Reviewing feedback reports from Workshops and feeding back to team meetings;

  • Managing and updating social media accounts for the whole project ensuring regular engagement with all subscribed platforms;

  • Preparing, collating and distributing information to support team meetings; attending meetings, taking minutes and disseminating outcome and following up actions;

  • Maintaining project files and documents, both in paper and electronically;

  • Managing project level finance tasks including raising invoice requests and processing of expenses and monitoring expenditure of grants;

  • Support Project Officer and Innovation Manager developing quarterly claim forms;

  • Ensure UKSPF compliant paperwork is maintained effectively including the monitoring of state aid, SME eligibility and outputs
