L3Harris MAPPS (Bristol, Burgess Hill and Barrow-in-Furness) provides an Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the Royal Navy sub-surface and surface fleets, notably current Astute submarine and Queen Elizabeth Class (QEC) aircraft carriers, in-build Type 26 and Type 31 frigates. What the role will involve The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
• Support and maintenance of Project Schedules
• Working with Programme Management and Engineering teams to ensure schedules and demand are up-to-date and aligned
• Monitor future resource demand and availability
• Monitor historic demand and supply, identifying anomalies
• Supporting monthly reporting cycle
• Deliver scheduling support to a range of projects
• Assist continuous improvement initiatives
• Opportunities to develop and progress within a Programme Management environment
What you'll bring The role of Project Scheduler requires the following experience and skills:
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role
• Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Experience in creating and maintaining complex work schedules across multiple projects and sites
• Sound appreciation of the methods and tools used for planning and scheduling of engineering projects
• Experience with resource loading and reporting features of MS Project
• Conversant with project costing systems and project risk management
• Knowledge and application of Earned Value techniques
