Full Job Description
We're looking for a Project Support Delivery Manager. Based at our Capenhurst location you'll play a key role within the project support team in supporting all projects delivered in their portfolio. The Project Support Delivery Manager's remit will include the development of all support resources and accountability for the quality of project controls output in Urenco's local project portfolio.,
- The Project Support Delivery Manager will directly support local projects and portfolio demands, and act as a first line customer point of contact.
- Dealing with multiple stakeholders as it is interfacing directly with the Urenco Group consequently the ability, and availability to travel to and work in several locations is required.
- Providing location based support for the portfolio of minor projects and specific major projects and supplying project support at portfolio level and liaise directly with the business unit to ensure the optimum use of Project Support personnel in accordance with Urenco's policies and procedures.
- Accountable for the delivery of portfolio level reports including forward resource planning, BU SLA and associated requirements, developing project control strategies specific to the project requirements and own the project controls plan.
- Ensure alignment between the business goals, contractual requirements and the project delivery strategy.
- Flow down project support requirements to the supply chain. Ensure optimal use of Project Support resources both contract and Staff
- Support the requirements of the project manager and project owner / end client
- Overall responsibility for the reporting of project status in relation to safety, scope, cost, schedule and Business benefits goals
- Provide portfolio / business level reporting
- Measuring of project progress metrics to ensure successful project delivery including flagging issues to the project manager in good time to enable remedial action

- Responsibility for implementing project control metrics to enable performance measurement
Experience from a highly regulated or infrastructure focused environment and knowledge of an EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) environment would be beneficial - Has carried out a lead role within a project controls function (Project Controls Manager etc)
- Experience with EVM (earned value management) within a project controls setting
- Ability to analyse project requirements and critical success factors and translate these into bespoke Project Control Strategies
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing strategies that successfully deliver project to Business goals (safety, budget, cost, benefits)
- Experience of and be skilled in managing ambiguity and being confident to take accountability for delivering to the Business
- Experience of managing complex contractual relationships including the provision of free-issue materials, technology or IP, able to demonstrate a proven track record in managing suppliers to deliver within this context.
- Demonstrable ability in building teams of highly performing professionals, communicating strategy and building a team accountable for delivery
- Solid knowledge of managing and mentoring project controls personnel
- Skilled in managing project teams to success with minimal supervision.
- Analytical bias with attention to detail specifically concerning data collation, analysis and presentation
- Proven track record in managing contract delivery, protecting the owner's contractual position at all times and preventing the likelihood of claims.
