Join us in this exciting, once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape new hospital facilities in our area. The NHS in Lancashire and South Cumbria welcomed the Government's May 2023 announcement of two new hospitals to replace Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Royal Preston Hospital as part of a rolling programme of national investment in capital infrastructure beyond 2030. In addition, Furness General Hospital in Barrow will benefit from investment in improvements. We need your administrative skills and experience to support the New Hospitals Programme (NHP) Project Management Office Team as we progress through the process. Our programme is a large, multi-million pound scheme unparalleled elsewhere. You will be joining a highly motivated, experienced and multi-disciplinary team from across the Lancashire and South Cumbria health and care system. Working with such a team will provide personal development, with the chance for you to hone existing skills and develop new ones. The team is currently working from home with occasional travel to sites cross Lancashire and South Cumbria. The post holder will be a key member of theNHPProject Management Office (PMO) Team, providing administrative and project support. This role will support theNHPPMO Team in delivering theNHPprogramme of projects. They will support the Project Officer and Project Manager as the administrator for the team, providing project support, co-ordinating team diaries and organising events and project meetings and monitoring progress against key deliverables in order to produce reports for the Executive team. The role requires the post holder to be in close contact with theNHPPMO team members and other officers of the wider project team. The above is a snapshot of the role. Hosted by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, this role involves working collaboratively with partners across the local health and care system. The Lancashire and South Cumbria New Hospitals Programme sees Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTr) and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT), together with NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board, working in partnership with all NHS organisations and wider partners, including town, city, borough and county councils and universities, to develop proposals for new hospital facilities in our region.

  • Provision of administrative support to theNHPPMO Team
  • Proactively manage the diary of theNHPPMO Team
  • To be responsible for arranging meetings on behalf of theNHPPMO Team
  • Assist with project related administration
  • Act as minute secretary for meetings, some of which may cover complex discussions and actions.
  • To maintain up to date, and effective electronic system for theNHPPMO Team.
  • Ensure any confidential and sensitive data is appropriately managed, archived and stored securely.
  • Have an up to date knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages and the use of email and internet i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
