Full Job Description

If you are looking for an opportunity to put your project support skills and experience of environmental sustainability and carbon reporting into practice or develop them further and to make a difference for people affected by dementia, this could be the role for you. The risk and assurance team are looking for a Project Support Volunteer to support with environmental reporting and data collection. This will enable us to deliver our net zero carbon commitment to improve the lives of those affected by dementia by ensuring we remain compliant with our environmental obligations to donors and funders.

  • Collection and collation of data to support our environmental reporting, liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Contributing ideas to improve our environmental data collection and analysis
  • Support and contributing to other environmental plans and initiatives

    The role can be carried out remotely or from our Warrington office (Tannery Court, Tanners Lane, Warrington, WA2 7NR).
  • There are no set hours, the work can be carried out flexibly around your existing commitments. If you are available, we invite you to attend our monthly Green Team meetings, which are for an hour on a Tuesday morning or Thursday afternoon. Knowledge of data collection, handling and analysis or a willingness to learn, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.,
  • You have an understanding of climate change and its impact on people affected by dementia
  • You have experience of data collection and handling, or willing to learn
  • You are keen to be involved in an innovative and exciting opportunity
  • You are organised and have good communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Are able to volunteer effectively individually with support from the Environmental Sustainability Manager.
  • You are over the age of 16.
  • This is an ongoing role, with opportunity to develop as your time and interest allows. There is flexibility around the times and location of volunteering, it can be completely home-based or you may choose to meet in person at our Warrington office. There are no set days or times you are required to be available, we will aim to work around your existing commitments.
