Project Worker

Sandwood House, 27 Sandon Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B17 8DR

£12.50 per hour

16 hours per week

Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker at our Intensive Housing Management Service, Sandwood House, Birmingham.

The role of Project Worker will include:

-Providing house related support to ensure relevant support is provided to encourage our customers to maximise their own potential and level of independence
-Managing health and safety responsibilities within a social housing environment
-Assessing customers' needs, writing, and updating support plans
-Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the customers, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
-Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy and dignity is maintained

Skills and experiences:

-A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements

-Experience of motivating and encouraging individuals to reach their goals
-Knowledge of health and safety requirements
-The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow customers independence to be enhanced
-Some experience of working with customers with mental health and/or complex needs
-Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
-NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
