We have opportunity for Complex Needs Project Workers to join our Young Persons Supported accommodation services in either the Llanelli or Ammanford area of Carmarthenshire on a part-time (32hrs), permanent basis.

We're seeking someone with the right experience and values to join us in supporting our young people to develop the key skills to achieve positive progression and to maintain their own tenancy in the community.

It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence and access to a vehicle.

Both of our Llanelli and Ammanford Young Persons schemes provide person centred and tailored support to individuals accessing the service. We deliver support that meets the needs of the individuals, and which provides opportunity for them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Day to day responsibilities:

As a Complex Needs Project Worker your role will be to support the Manager with facilitating Young Person goal plans and will work extensively with them to advise on re-housing options. You will make referrals to other agencies in relation to temporary and permanent accommodation in conjunction with our resettlement team.

You will liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing Department, Resettlement Worker, Health and Safety and other relevant agencies, on matters affecting prospective and current clients of the service. Part of your role will be to promote mental health recovery and seek treatment and recovery for substance misuse where applicable.

We strive to ensure that everyone we support receives the very best support to enable and empower them to regain control of their life and to sustain their independence. This a challenging role and you may be faced with complex situations and difficult behaviours and needs, so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.

Competitive salary of £27,411.00 FTE

2x Part-time (32hrs), permanent positions

Work Pattern: Both schemes are covered 24 hours, 7 days a week so you would be expected to work on a 4-week rolling rota which would involve: days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (additional payment of £51.11 sleep-in allowance for each sleep-in shift)

An enhanced DBS is required for this role which we will pay for

26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
