Full Job Description
Our Monmouthshire Supported housing accommodation Service is looking for a Project Worker to join their team working in the Abergavenny scheme. This is a part-time (36hrs), Permanent position working waking nights. Our service gives young people experiencing homelessness a housing solution. Our service offers housing related support to assist our service users to move into their own tenancy and gain independence., It is essential that the successful candidate has a driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Our motivation is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
Your day will consist of:
Engaging and interacting with our service users
Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
Liaising with external agencies
Addressing any additional needs, the people we support might have
Who we are looking for
Have knowledge of housing related support and benefit systems
Have good organisation, IT and record keeping skills
Can work part of a team and on an individual basis
Deal with difficult situations
Have good listening skills
Job Specifics:
Part Time - 36 hours
Permanent Contract
Salary for this role is £24,797.19 (£13.25 per hour)
Work Pattern: 2-week Rolling Rota (Waking Nights) - Typically 09:30pm -07:30am, Pobl Benefits:
