Full Job Description
Reporting to the Consents Manager, Property Manager or Claims Manager you'll be responsible for preparing case folders, collating information, preparing plans, assisting with bespoke reports and presentations as well as a range of other administration tasks.
The Ideal Candidate
- A working understanding of property principles, related legislation and its relevance in relation to the activities of the department including an ability to interpret legal documents.
- A basic understanding of the features and functions of the Distribution network, including an ability to recognise network apparatus on site.
- Negotiation skills that are consistent with the requirements of the role with the ability to gain the best deal for the Company, balancing the needs of the Company, the customer and / or landowner.
- Excellent oral and presentation skills with the ability to persuade, convince and influence others.
- The ability to work within a team environment and flexibility to assist colleagues in all of the teams within Electricity Distribution Property.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports, correspondence to customers, land agents, solicitors, local authorities and external stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office Excel, Powerpoint, and Word applications.
- Numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and produce it in a clear and logical format. An awareness of the importance of well-structured data to form the basis of analysis and conclusions.
- A pro-active and creative approach to problem solving.
- A current driving licence.
Preferably the roles will be based in either Castle Donnington, Worcester, Gloucester, Avonbank or Swansea, but we may be able to consider other locations. As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Part time will be considered. Depending on experience, you may initially be appointed at a lower salary until all relevant courses and training are complete. Main ResponsibilitiesIn this role you'll assist colleagues on a variety of casework across the team including consent and wayleave activities relating to capital projects, wayleave terminations / injurious affection claims and property management. You'll maintain electronic record systems, deal with incoming enquiries, and communicate verbally and in writing to landowners and a wide range of external stakeholders.
