Full Job Description

As Project Manager, you'll develop strong business relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and contractors, to ensure the succesfull delivery of investment schemes across the various retail formats as well as providing maintenance and compliance support activity as required to ensure the value is maintained.

Key to the Project Manager role will be ensuring all investment is completed to a high standard and that best value is achieved for all activity, including a strong approach to cost management.

Above all you will be uncompromising in your delivery of exceptional customer service.

You'll need to be an experienced Property Project Manager with a proven track record in a similar multi-site retail environment, ideally with a passion for pubs and the hospitality industry.

You'll use your knowledge to be able to challenge contract rates and construction methodologies throughout the projects you're managing.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Manager will include :

1. Capital Investment

  • Working with your Operational colleagues, deliver investment to meet the needs of the business ensuring projects are accurately briefed and scoped out, presented for approval and delivered on time and to budget ensuring all administration systems are appropriately updated on completion.

  • Adopting a pro-active approach to the delivery of investment ensuring best value is obtained from all investment and business closures are minimised.

  • Ensuring that all investment is procured in line with company policy and existing procurement deals are incorporated within a project where appropriate.

  • Always consider sustainability within significant capital investment projects and incorporate an assessment to improve the decision-making process.

  • Where required becoming the business lead and champion for a particular format(s) or investment initiatives.

  • Working with your Operational colleagues, monitor Post Audit and ROI performance of all investment activity and that corrective actions are taken as necessary.

  • A flexible approach to undertaking trade visits to develop an understanding of the retail environment including visits during evenings and weekends.


  • Transition Management

    Adopting a pro-active approach to the transition of sites from L&T into a managed format ensuring that an agreed standard of repair / minimum condition is confirmed with colleagues working on the leased and tenanted estate prior to transfer to ensure that any business closure period is minimised and project costings are accurate.

    Condition Management

    Providing on-site support for significant maintenance activity and approve maintenance quotations above an agreed threshold.

    Works to be inspected on completion or as a minimum during visits to a site for other reasons.
