Full Job Description
- Completing pre and post inspections of day-to-day responsive repairs as well as legal disrepairs, insurance claims, and damp and mould
- Ensuring tenant queries, requests and complaints are investigated and dealt with proactively
- Providing technical advice to both customers and colleagues
- Ensuring that all remedial works are completed in line with health and safety requirements
- Co-ordinating and supervising day-to-day repairs
- Preparing specifications and documents in accordance with WCHG policies and procedures.
- Supervising contractors and ensuring quality of work and response times meet the required standards and SLAs Working as a team and communicating with all stakeholders
- Minimum of 5 years plus experience working on day to day responsive repairs in social housing is essential
- Experience of dealing with customers face to face is essential.
- Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) or certificated surveyor in timber and dampness in buildings (CSTDB) would be desirable (Training Provided) The successful candidate without (CSRT) or (CSTDB) will be offered free training to gain this qualification on successfully completing their six-month probationary period. Previous experience of working as a Property Surveyor in a social housing environment is essential coupled with knowledge of current building and housing legislation. A good working knowledge of Schedule of rates is also essential. A full UK driving licence is essential and we are looking for someone who is customer focused, with excellent IT and problem-solving skills.
