Full Job Description

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the surgical division, by collecting, recording, analysing, interpreting and reporting of data required to monitor compliance with the Welsh Assembly Government Referral to Treatment Time (RTT) and Service and Financial Framework annual targets. Responsible for accurate and timely recording of the whole patient pathway on WPAS. The Pathway Tracker reviews the progress the patient's journey through the care pathway and core services such as health records, radiology and pathology., To communicate with clinical and non-clinical members of the health care team for the benefit of patient care, e.g arranging appointments or referrals onto others within or outside of the organisation.

To ensure that the progress of the patient through the pathway is prospectively and proactively managed any concerns relating to e.g waiting times and treatment schedules communicated to the relevant staff or clinical service.

Identify patients that require a clinical decision and uses judgement to ensure this decision is timely in relation to the individual diagnostic.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
