An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Administration Team in the Prosthetics Department at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust.
The administrator will prominently work within its busy Prosthetics Reception with a friendly team of administrators, clinicians.
The post holder will be required to answer phones calls, attend patients, manage email inboxes book and cancel appointments, liaise with a clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the effective and efficient management of appointment booking systems., · Monitor the Prosthetics department reception desk/ phone to assist all patients and visitors. The successful candidate would be the central point of contact for patients and visitors attending Prosthetics; promoting a positive corporate image and good patient care.
· To book, amend, cancel and reschedule appointments, in consultation with allied health professionals, patients, relatives and carers
· To deal with frequent telephone enquiries, which often interrupt other tasks, in a polite and helpful way, forwarding calls to the correct extensions or taking accurate messages, ensuring they get passed on.
· To process referrals and other documents, and to input data into paper-based and electronic systems., The Trust uses electronic new starter forms on Trac to collect personal details. Information collected is securely stored and used to set up the employee record on the ESR HR system.
If you are offered a role with one of the NLPSS partner trusts, as part of pre-employment checks your identity and right to work documentation will be verified remotely (in most circumstances), using a certified identity verification service provider TrustID. You will be asked to capture an image of the relevant documents as well as a "selfie" using your smartphone/tablet (if available) for facial matching. This post holder will be required to work at Stanmore site The Prosthetics Department is located on the hospital site at Stanmore. There may be the opportunity to crossover within the RNOH Therapies departments. Applicants should have good written and spoken English, be able to work productively within a team setting and demonstrate initiative.
Sound administration/clerical skills would be desirable. You should be polite & professional at all times. Have a flexible approach to work, good time keeping and have the ability to work under pressure.
