Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within children's services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in the London Borough of Havering . We are seeking a full time enthusiastic Psychological professional Clinical Leadwho will lead and drive the service forward working on embedding the i-thrive framework working with key stakeholders across Health, Social Care and Education.You will be clinically responsible for the CAMHS Services portfolio . You will forge a close working relationship with existing Operational lead and Clinical leads in the team. The service itself operates a 9am-5pm Monday -Fridays from Chadwell Health - London Borough of Redbridge

You will therefore be required to strong clinical management skills, with wide skill set of clinical intervention and knowledge to provide a to direct and in direct supervision, and drive patient experience. You will also lead and support a range of service development and Quality Improvement initiatives, therefore knowledge around change methodology, and Qi principles will be essential in the role. CAMHs has recently just finished a Qi projecting working with thenational collaborative and The RCPsych - with the aim focus on Demand, Capacity and Flow.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.

You need to be aqualified psychological practitioner (e.g. psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist, cognitive behavioural therapist) fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body (e.g. HCPC).

You will require strategic understanding and excellent communication skills to develop effective relationships with key partners, including the ICB, Local Authority, GPs, voluntary sector organisations, and other statutory agencies. You will have extensive clinical and operational leadership experience across CAMHS to support the teams, acting as an effective team member whilst working on your own initiative. You will be responsible for the overall clinical supervision structure of qualified staff. You will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social care professionals and agencies.
