Full Job Description

The post holder will work within Manchester Talking Therapies predominantly providing telephone assessments to people experiencing common mental health problems. They will also provide a small number of evidence based low-intensity psychological interventions to clients. This may include guided self-help computerised CBT, information about pharmacological treatments. It will also involve screening new referrals into the service and where necessary, refer clients on to a more relevant service or step up to high intensity psychological therapy. The job promotes flexible and hybrid working. Make decisions on suitability for new referrals, adhering to GMMH's referral protocols, and where necessary, refer clients on to a more relevant service or step up to high intensity psychological therapy. Assess and support people with a common mental health problem in the self management of their recovery, and appropriately signposts to additional or more appropriate support . Undertake patient-centred interviews which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and make an informed assessment of risk to self and others .
