Psychosexual Therapist

To provide psychosexual therapy to TransPlus clients around issues of sexual wellbeing connected to their diagnosis of gender dysphoria. Offering advice and consultation on clients' psychosexual concerns to colleagues. Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.

The post holder will work with clients of the TransPlus service, who may have had sexual difficulties identified as part of their assessment in the service. The post holder would be expected to provide short- to medium term evidence based psychosexual therapy to clients and their partners for a range of difficulties related to living with gender dysphoria. We also anticipate that the post holder may contribute to the design and running of group psychoeducation interventions on sexual problems related to gender dysphoria under the supervision of the senior psychologist in the service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be based within 56 Dean Street sexual health service and will form good relationships with Trans and gender diverse clients seen within the service.

The post holder will have key working relationships with the rest of the MDT and will attend weekly MDT meetings at both locations.

The post holder will work autonomously within professional practice guidelines and Trust guidelines.
