Are you passionate about making a real difference to the health of people in Norfolk? If so, this is an excellent opportunity to start or develop your career in Public Health while earning as you learn. Joining us as our Public Health Apprentice gives you the opportunity to support delivery of our service to the communities of Norfolk. We are dedicated to helping residents to live in healthy places, promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing ill-health. We are focussed on reducing inequalities and in particular supporting underrepresented groups to live healthier lives for longer. If you're interested and ambitious about improving the public's health and reducing inequalities, this may be the apprenticeship for you - even if you haven't worked in Public Health before. We're also an Apprenticeships Top 100 Award Winner 2024, offering paid employment whilst studying for a degree while we do all we can to help you achieve that and further your Public Health career. This apprenticeship enables you to obtain your Practitioner Integrated Degree (Level 6) (subject to entry criteria) through our approved educational provider and no upper age limit applies. At the end, you will have completed your apprenticeship, obtained a degree and you will be registered as a Public Health Practitioner on the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR). This will give you a strong foundation to apply for Public Health Officer jobs, delivering projects aligned to either primary prevention, policy or the commissioning of Public Health funded services. This is a hybrid UK based role, so you must be able to travel within Norfolk and to the educational provider as and when required.
