Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Public Health Assistant to join our Health Visiting service to deliver support to families (adults) with children aged nought to five in Kent. You will need to be a confident and flexible practitioner, passionate about improving the health and well-being of children through delivery of the healthychild programme. You will work as part of a team to keep children safe and well by having a good understanding of child development and the importance of play inchildren's lives, learning and language development., What does the role involve ?

  • Understanding and Identifying healthy normal growth and development in children
  • Completing development reviews using the ages and stages questionnaire
  • Providing appropriate responses and advice to clients parent/cares and families
  • Escalating concerns when required
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings
  • Build relationships with colleagues to enhance the team working environment.
  • We provide full induction training, regular coaching and the support and encouragement needed to get you off to the best start.We have full and part time opportunities ranging from a minimum of 22.5 hours to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week between 9am to 5pm Monday toFriday. This role is a community-based role so the majority of your duties will be carried out between your base and community settings.
