Public Rights of Way Legal Order Officer

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of PROW Legal Order Officer. Based in Municipal Buildings, Crewe, with flexible hybrid working, you will be responsible for processing Definitive Map Modification Order, Public Path Orders applications and temporary closures across the Borough, from receipt of application, through consultation, Committee decision, to Order making and public inquiry, as required.

The role requires a mix of desk based work and independent fieldwork. You'll be liaising with applicants, user groups, elected Members, Town and Parish Councils, landowners, and agents. You'll have responsibility for budgetary tasks and updating the Definitive Map and Statement, undertaking other legal Public Rights of Way processes and respond to general enquiries from the public and colleagues.
