About our Team Our global Chemistry journals team of Publishers and Scientific Editors based in the UK, the Netherlands, China, and India, manages an extensive collection of prestigious titles. These journals provide a platform for chemists to share their undefined breaking discoveries, advancing science and offering solutions for a better world. We are responsible for managing existing journals, launching new ones, and acquiring new society contracts to ensure growth and customer satisfaction. We strategically serve authors, editors, researchers, societies, and academia. About the Role You will manage a portfolio of Chemistry journals covering Spectroscopy, NMR, and related fields. You will work on projects and initiatives to drive innovation and growth. Building successful partnerships with individuals and institutions to develop long-term collaborations is key. Responsibilities

  • Developing the strategy for our portfolio to maintain growth and create ideas for new journals to launch
  • Collaborating closely with other Publishers in the wider Physical Sciences team whose journals overlap or complement your portfolio
  • Establishing networks with key external and internal stakeholders to manage and develop the portfolio successfully
  • Engaging with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to deliver innovative journal solutions
  • Working with editors, authors, editorial boards, and the wider academic community to ensure a steady flow of relevant, high-quality manuscripts
  • Monitoring continuous quality control and all aspects of day-to-day editorial, production, and publishing operations, addressing improvements where needed
  • Meeting portfolio objectives regarding content growth, market share, citation share, relative impact factor, editorial speeds, and author and editor satisfaction

    Educational background (degree or higher) and keen interest in academic publishing. A background in a Chemistry-related discipline is advantageous but not essential.
  • proficiency in English , both written and oral, with experience communicating across international boundaries
  • Natural communicator with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional and external teams
  • Self-starter who is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful initiatives
