Full Job Description

Pupil and School Support teachers work with nursery, primary and secondary schools to support them in meeting the needs of children with cognition, learning and language difficulties, including those with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. Alongside this, we provide strategic support to SENCos and senior leaders within settings to build the capacity of staff through planning and delivering training, advising on policy and procedures and supporting the monitoring of provision, with the aim of improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND. PSS are part of Birmingham City Council and work closely with other SEND teams to support the strategic direction of the Local Authority.
