Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Accounts Assistant to join our Group Finance Team. Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, this dynamic team includes individuals with a variety of experiences both in accounting practice and industry. They have a real focus on everyone taking ownership of their own role, whilst learning from each other's experience to support individual personal development.,

  • Coding and posting purchase invoices into Sage 200 and via our AP software
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Managing the collation of invoices from different sources and distributing for authorisation
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Posting of bank transactions
  • Some general accounts duties, This is a home working position with the requirement to work from the Alderley Edge office 1 day per week. Ad-hoc travel to offices within the group and other locations may also be required on occasion.

    Ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and successfully perform duties under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Clear understanding of accounting basics
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 preferred, but not essential
