Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our successful Newark based client on a 3-month temporary contract., As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for keeping an orderly purchase ledger. Other responsibilities include:

Answering accounts queries via telephone and email
Drawing up payment run schedules for approval
Setting up new suppliers
Making emergency payments i.e. proformas/credit cards once approved
Sending invoices out for approval in a timely fashion
Posting the banks to Cash Book each morning and processing the bank reconciliations'
Posting of credit cards and other expenses

There will also be aspects of sales ledger and credit control, including:

Raise any issues accordingly that could hinder the billing process with the relevant departments
Posting payments received onto the cash flow
Allocating remittances
Setting up new customers, including credit checks, to enable jobs to be issued out
Monitoring and actioning the sales ledger inboxes
Support with credit control

Proven experience of high-volume invoice and data processing
Ability to collate data and format reports as required
Excellent IT skills with knowledge of ERP systems (Sage, Oracle, SAP etc.), as well as MS Office
Knowledge of "Integrity" system would be advantageous
5 GCSE's or equivalent at Grade C or above (including English and Maths)
