Full Job Description

  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory. Forecast and manage stock volumes for maximum efficiency using Min/Max inventory management techniques. Note: This responsibility can be taken on gradually.

  • Order Processing: Raise purchase orders.

  • Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

  • Data Accuracy: Ensure all data is accurately recorded and up-to-date with a focus on using computer systems efficiently; our current software is called Merlin.

  • Ensure Compliance with Legal and Regulatory Requirements Related to Purchasing: Ensure compliance by gathering information from each supplier and store in a systematic way to for ease when revisiting is required.

    Experience: Previous experience in a purchasing/IT role is essential.

  • Computer Proficiency: Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and other relevant software; our current software is called Merlin.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities and excellent attention to detail.

  • Professionalism: Punctual, polite, and excellent telephone manner.
