Purchasing Assistant

We are seeking a candidate to join our team, preferably with prior experience in purchasing or in operational admin to seamlessly integrate into our workflow. The ideal candidate will support the procurement team in sourcing, and purchasing goods for our organisation. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.. A professional demeanor, proactive attitude, and enthusiasm for assuming responsibilities are essential qualities we seek.

Reporting to Purchasing Manager this role's responsibilities include:

• Purchase order raising


• Purchase order acknowledgements, chasing suppliers and monitoring order statuses


• Booking and tracking deliveries; management of Goods in Calendar


• Internal purchase requisitions


• Management of purchasing@ inbox


• Coordinate with Warehouse staff, suppliers and internal teams


• Deal with supplier and order issues


• Maintain purchase records and supplier details


• Overseeing daily activities of purchasing department - obtaining quotes, expediting, proforma payments, customs payments etc.


• Dealing with queries from accounts.
  
  Previous experience in a purchasing or supply chain role is advantageous

- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
- Familiarity with an ERP system is desirable
