Full Job Description

You will work closely with the Purchasing Team leader in obtaining the maximum possible value from the money spent by the trust on goods and services. In addition, this role is also key in identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities whilst at the same time ensuring a consistently high-quality service is delivered by the trusts purchasing team.

This role will also ensure that all requests for goods and services not available via managed catalogues are processed effectively and efficiently whilst liaising with and supporting the contracting teams in identifying additional goods and services that should be contracted.

Please note: This role is subject to annex 21 and may be appointed as a 12 month development role from band 3 to band 4 for an applicant who does not meet the full criteria required for the role. (the first 12 months would be paid at band 3 salary before increasing to band 4 at the completion of 12 months) Band 3 Salary is £24,071
