Purchasing Assistant Purchasing Assistant Newark Distribution Centre (LM0012) - Long Hollow Way, Newark, Notts, NG24 2NH Permanent Full Time Grade 2 Hours - 37.5 per week Monday to Friday working 8am and 4pm Salary - 24,180 per annum At Currys we're united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. We're looking for Purchasing Assistant to join our team of experts who make sure our Repair Centre have everything they need. You'll manage the data that makes us tick and support our buyers. Role overview: As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Placing orders, managing supply and return of spares required for the Customer Repair Centre, our field operations and third parties
- Supporting the Buyers and Assistant Purchasing Managers, to drive the day-to-day Spares Purchasing operation
- Ensuring accurate up to date Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) information is provided to the relevant business area
- Chasing supplier deliveries to improve supplier lead times and give accurate ETA's for stock shortages
- Ensuring all tasks are carried out accurately on time and within budget You will need:
- Computer literacy with some experience of using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Communication skills both verbal and written
