Full Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager / Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. - Assist in the procurement of products and services, ensuring quality, price, and delivery targets are met.
- Create and manage purchase orders (POs) and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Research and identify potential new suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms of delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues such as delays, shortages, and defective products.
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., production, finance) to ensure purchasing needs are aligned with company requirements.
- Produce & manage reports to allow effective monitoring of commercial activity within the business.
At least 2 years in a similar Purchasing or Buyer role (preferred). - Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) a must.
- Knowledge of Sage 50 an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
