Full Job Description

The post holder will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our NHS Fleet Solutions systems primarily focused around https://www.nhsfleetsolutions.co.uk . You will be responsible for understanding user journeys and functional requirements, developing and implementing test plans and test cases, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Your role will involve collaboration with Business Analysts, Test Engineers, and Developers to maintain high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

Main duties of the job
+ Work closely with Business Analysts to comprehend user journeys and functional requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of all NHS Fleet Solutions systems predominantly the nhsfleetsoultions.co.uk site and back office admin system.
+ The post holder will develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring coverage of all relevant scenarios.
+ Execute tests on various platforms and devices to validate the functionality of healthcare applications.
+ Create and maintain regression test packs to ensure that new updates do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
+ Support the test team in delivering QA responsibilities, fostering a collaborative environment for efficient testing processes.
+ Collaborate with developers to find solutions to challenges and actively contribute to the overall success of the projects.
+ Report progress and issues to the Test Manager, providing clear and concise updates on testing status.
+ Demonstrate the ability to detect and resolve issues promptly to ensure the reliability and functionality of all systems.
+ Stay updated with the latest testing techniques and software, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
+ Willingly acquire new skills that contribute to the enhancement of the QA team's capabilities., + To contribute to the develop of a culture of high engagement, where staff are empowered and entrusted to provide the best services and care for patients.
+ To promote and facilitate innovation and continuous improvement to deliver better services for service users and patients.

Please note that it is a requirement of this Trust that all successful applicants pay for their own DBS certification if a DBS check is required for the post. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first monthly pay.

+ Degree level or equivalent plus additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience.
+ The candidate should have a good level of knowledge around all aspects of QA testing and an understanding of the wider software development lifecycle, underpinned by theory and professional experience.
+ Previous experience in a QA role
+ Understanding of user journeys and functional requirements provided by Business Analysts.
+ Ability to develop and implement test plans and test cases.
+ Experience of creating and maintaining regression test packs.
+ Willingness to learn how to run automated tests.
+ Identify test cases suitable for automation and collaborate with Test Engineers.
+ Test execution on various platforms and devices
+ Reporting progress and issues to the Test Manager
+ Detection and resolution of issues.
+ Ability to challenge requirements and collaborate with developers to find solutions.
+ To lead, inspire and motivate others to high performance by agreeing clear goals and objectives, providing support and guidance and creating opportunities for development.
