Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a QC Technician Incoming Materials to join the Quality Control team. The purpose of this role is to ensure that incoming raw materials are tested and released in time to meet manufacturing demands and are compliant with regulatory requirements. Quality Control (QC) is made up of the microbiology and raw materials teams. Raw materials make sure incoming materials are of suitable quality. Microbiology test the manufacturing environment and its products to make sure they are free of harmful microorganisms,

  • Test and release incoming raw materials ensuring that quality and time targets are met
  • Maintain the QC Chemistry laboratory to GMP standard and keep test equipment calibrated and maintained for optimal use
  • Maintain relevant SOPs, Quality Control PlansGINs and other documentation to ensure compliance with required standards
  • Represent the QC department in communications with manufacturing and supply chain particularly in ensuring uninterrupted raw material flow
  • Represent the company in communications with external testing laboratories and suppliers ensuring test results and quality information is provided
  • Raising and progressing Quality Records (e.g. Deviations, Investigations, Change Controls, CAPAs) within a timely manner

    Knowledge of CMP requirements with specific reference to documentation and laboratory activities in order to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Knowledge of practical and theoretical chemistry techniques in order to enable effective and accurate material testing
  • Computer literate, especially with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Relevant raw material and chemistry experience
  • Good knowledge of GMP requirements required in a pharmaceutical company
