Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced QHSE Advisor to join our team on the National Grid contract! By supporting all parts of the QHSE function, you willensure that our sites, colleagues and third-party suppliers are all conducting their business in a safe manner, and understand the value in being actively involved in their responsibility to maintain Health and Safety standards.

In your new role, you will collaborate with the QHSE team, developing and implementing new strategies to reduce risk for Mitie companies and our clients. Furthermore, your advice and guidance to operational managers and employees will provide an informed and forward thinking approach to QHSE matters.

The QHSE Advisor is responsible for conducting a range of risk assessments (such as Significant Risk, COSHH, DSE, etc) to ensure compliance and competence across multi-disciplined sites and departments. The investigation of accidents, incidents, and the production of statistical information in relation to QHSE performance also falls under the remit of the post-holder.

To be successful in your application, you should be an engaging people person, with an enthusiasm for Health and Safety, particularly within Hard Services. A NEBOSH certificate is an essential qualification for this position, as well as experience of delivering high quality QHSE guidance within multi-site, multi-discipline organisations. Please note that the QHSE Advisor will be responsible for visiting multiple sites around the UK, and so a Full UK Driving Licence will be required.
