Qualified (accredited with BABCP) CBT Therapist

As a member of the Talking Therapies service, provide high quality, specialist psychological therapy service to clients within the stepped model of care. Provide high intensity interventions to clients who have a range of complex anxiety & depression related problems. In addition, to support psychological practice within the team through consultation, supervision, formulation & training & by participating in systematic clinical governance. Work with complex presentations suitable for psychological therapy utilising a high level of knowledge & experience & adapting approaches as appropriate, with regard to evidence based practice.Main duties of the job

• To provide CBT to services users in primary care with difficulties with depression & anxiety in line with best, evidence-based practice
• To be responsible for holding & managing a clinical caseload & to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the planning & prioritising of own workload and the assessment, treatment & discharge of clients, within the bounds of the service operational policy.
• To use analytical & judgment skills and be responsible for taking clinical management decisions in clinical issues.
• To clinically supervise Psychological Therapists, Trainee Psychological Therapists and Psychological Practitionersorbe willing to undertake supervision training if not trained in supervision.
• To provide consultation and advice about psychological issues to other members of the team/service and other professionals working with service users.
