Full Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Nurse who works well in a multi-disciplinary team environment. We seek to maintain high standards of care for our patients and are looking for someone who will enhance our department.,

  • Undertake all activities in a professional and proficient manner, including mandatory surgical checks prior to the start of the procedure, during and pre wound closure.
  • Carry out scrub duties according to policies and procedures, contributing to quality improvement, and promoting best evidence based practice.
  • Assemble, check, prepare, and coordinate the use of surgical equipment, drugs and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures.
  • Act in the circulating role, and promote a patient focused approach to care in collaboration with all relevant healthcare professionals.
  • Our Theatre Practitioners work towards providing high quality patient care within the perioperative setting. We welcome both experience and non-experience staff to join our supportive team. Training can also be provided to support newly registered practitioners and to those who are looking for a new career direction. For our successful candidates, we will aid you in the development of your career, and in order to enable this we have a dedicated Practice Development Team to support you. The Trust also provides many other In-house learning opportunities to support your developmental needs.   • Registered Nurse or Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and in sensitive and challenging situations.
