Salary: Band 5 - 7 DOE £28,407 - £50,056 (pro rata)

Aspris School are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or newly qualified, who will be required to work closely with other Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals providing support to students.

  • Observing & coaching staff
  • Writing programmes and deliver direct time sessions

Qualifications and Characteristics

The successful candidate will be registered and will hold BSc Occupational Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification, along with the following characteristics:

  • Resilience: We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
  • Communication: Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Positive working relationships, good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
  • Committed: Will join a supportive and experienced team of dedicated support staff, committed to delivering the very best care.
  • Caring: Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
