Qualified Social Worker (Children)

Neway is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Children's Services based at Knowsley Council., Knowsley Borough Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Children's Services team on a temporary basis. The position will focus on providing essential social care support to children and families, ensuring the safeguarding and well-being of vulnerable individuals within the community., Manage a caseload of children and families, delivering high-quality social work services in line with statutory responsibilities.
Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement support strategies for vulnerable children.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams, including health professionals, schools, and law enforcement.
Ensure that all interventions are compliant with legal frameworks, policies, and standards.
Participate in child protection investigations and court proceedings as required.

Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England.
Proven experience in children's services, ideally within a local authority setting.
Strong understanding of child safeguarding, risk assessments, and statutory procedures.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle complex cases.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.

This role is starting asap, working 36 hours a week in an ongoing contract.

PAYE: £23.75 per hour
Umbrella/Ltd: £30.00 per hour
