Full Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have excellent opportunity for progression, dealing with various stakeholders both internal and external across the Devonport supply chain. Day to day, you'll be part of a small team supporting various areas of Babcock in assisting both our internal and external customers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Raising Quality Assurance Schedule of Requirements (QASOR) with information taken from drawings
- Various publications and information provided by our suppliers
- Answering queries regarding the QASOR process. There will be the opportunity to become a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in the future This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home until you have completed initial training. After this, you will be able to work from home however, you must be able and willing to travel onsite as and when required.
- Knowledge and Experience of either/or Nuclear Submarine Systems, facilities, and Quality assurance
- An understanding of Defence Standards and British Standards would be an advantage but not essential. Training will be given. Qualifications for the Quality Assurance Engineer:
- ONC or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering Discipline Security Clearance The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role
