Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has emerged for the ideal candidate to join Adult Social Care as a Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer.
Adult Social Care work in partnership to support people to 'have a life, not a service' supporting people to experience love, friendships, and relationships, have meaning in their lives and to live safely in the place they call home as valued and contributing members of their communities' for the people of Hull. Our goal is to fulfil the Care Act requirement of supporting individuals in enhancing and sustaining their well-being.
As the Quality Assurance and Improvement Officer, you will collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance Lead to ensure the efficient implementation of quality assurance and service enhancement initiatives within Adult Social Care. Your responsibilities will include analysing, implementing, and enhancing processes and systems to integrate quality assurance and a culture of learning throughout the service. This will involve precise monitoring, tracking, and targeting of quality assurance activities, producing reports and communications for the Quality Assurance Lead and Senior Leadership Team to swiftly and accurately identify strengths and areas for improvement.
In addition, you will be tasked with creating tools and methods to monitor quality assurance activities, facilitating service improvement initiatives, and playing a pivotal role in preparing and engaging with the Care Quality Commission's assurance. Working alongside the Quality Assurance Lead, you will utilise audit findings to pinpoint necessary changes to elevate practice standards, enhance outcomes for Hull residents, their families, and carers and contribute to continuous improvement and organisational training needs.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a dedication to continuous quality improvement, possess outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, and embrace a proactive "can-do" attitude towards the role.
