We are an established Main Contractor, based in Glasgow, Manchester, and Bristol, undertaking new build, refurbishment, facades, and insurance reinstatement work within the industrial, commercial, residential, and retail sectors throughout the United Kingdom. This is a roaming role, so we are open to applicants based anywhere in London & the surrounding areas. Travel is paramount in this position, so you will be required to travel across our live sites in the region. Knowledge and experience of construction field snag and survey apps is required. BBP use Planradar and the role will require the ability to configure this to suit BBP's company and project requirements, to record high quality QA information, and to instruct others in its correct use. Planradar training will be provided. Duties include:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and workmanship to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from project plans.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to establish and maintain quality objectives and performance metrics.
  • Provide guidance and training to construction teams on quality control best practices, standards, and procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to quality issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance certificates.
  • Monitor and track quality performance metrics, analyse data trends, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction quality assurance.

    UK Driving licence (essential)
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the requirements of producing the Golden Thread of information (essential)
  • Ability to configure this to suit BBP's company and project requirements, to record high quality QA information, and to instruct others in its correct use. Planradar training will be provided.
  • Experience in construction quality assurance or related field
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing quality assurance programmes.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus., Quality assurance: 3 years (required)
