Full Job Description
- Ensuring compliance to company, contractual and statutory/regulatory quality requirements is maintained throughout the full development lifecycle
- Operating as the Quality Assurance focal point for Several Engineering capability teams working within the Design, Development, Test and Evaluation Service Delivery Unit
- Proactive engagement and working closely with the engineering teams in order to assure the design, development and deployment of quality products and Services throughout the development lifecycle
- Undertaking First Article Verifications and signing Certificates of Conformity on behalf of the business and supporting customer release activities as required across the varied teams
- Effectively managing the timely investigation and resolution of all reported quality issues and customer quality concerns associated within the Engineering Capability organisation
- Ensuring quality is effectively reviewed and quality concerns are reported via the specific management review hierarchies
- Utilising business information to identify and proactively drive Quality and business led improvement activities focussed towards improving the quality of our products and services
- Managing, and delivering to schedule, all internal system / process / product / audits and provision of support to third party certification audits and the timely resolution of all identified non-conformances
- Providing Quality advice and support to all levels of the Engineering Capability organisation and associated stakeholders
Degree level education (or equivalent relevant experience) ideally in Quality or an Engineering related discipline - Proven leadership skills and experience of mentoring / coaching direct reports
- Good understanding and implementation of Quality practices, tools and techniques
- Extensive knowledge of quality requirements for aerospace and defence contracts (e.g. EN9100, defence regulations and standards), Domain:Software Testing Qualifications:Graduate Specialization:Quality or an engineering related discipline English Proficiency:Proficient

The Design Development Test & Evaluation Quality Assurance team: An exciting opportunity has arisen within this team for a Quality Team Leader. This high tempo and demanding role will see you leading and motivating a small team who are accountable for the assurance and compliance of a number of engineering teams to company, contractual, statutory and regulatory quality requirements relating to the design, development and support of the products and services they provide to our National and International Customers who operate BAE Systems aerospace platforms.
